Field Notes

Description:

About 25mm long. Two pale stripes on darker thorax. Narrow legs with pale bands on rear pairs. Suspecting some type of stiletto fly?

Habitat:

On young eucalyptus leaf.

Notes:

? Ectinorhynchus latistria <br>
Very cold conditions may have contributed to this one remaining in place no matter what I did with the camera... stiletto fly key here http://www.cdfa.ca.gov/plant/ppd/lucid/therevidae/austherevid/key/austh… (yet to run Shaun Winterton's key)
