Field Notes

Description:

Sorrel cluster deep red about 60mm wide. Some hairs. No flowers present.

Habitat:

This clump was in very stony, poorly nourished soil in full sun.

Notes:

Sometimes it seems when oxalis grow in very harsh conditions they grow red. Other clumps nearby (in more nourished soil?) were green.
