Giant ceiba

This particular giant ceiba is the site for many a tourist and group photos of those staying at Ceiba Tops on the Amazon River. This tree is a short hike from the main lodge. Unfortunately, it was raining the morning of our visit, so the light was flat. As a result, viewing the tree and its underside was darkened and the lack of light made for less than optimum photography. Nonetheless, it was a spectacular sight.
