Description:

A small shrub with bell like flowers of around 1 cm. Leafs somehow strong.

Habitat:

Neotropical dry forest.

It was a pretty high shrub (about 1.5 meters high), but yes ... it looks like a Gaultheria !
Some species of Gaultheria for sure. They some times have a sweet berry. In the southern Andes there are many species. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/15802074
