Description:

This small damselflies is named for the conspicuous deep red spots at the base of its wings.

Habitat:

This damselfly was flying around and resting on bosque vegetation along the riverbank.

Notes:

There were large numbers of these damselflies. They appear to prefer plants such as coyote willows that overhang the actual river.
