Description:

This cute little moth had a wingspan of only 1 cm (0.4 inches). ID uncertain - Rice Leaf Roller moth, Crambidae, Spilomelinae (Cnaphalocrocis medinalis)??
Looks like he has a hollow tail.

Habitat:

Hills overlooking Manila

The reference link in my Species ID Suggestion is to show a picture of this moth to compare with the photo in this Project Noah Spotting. The link gives the distribution as south-western parts of the United States, Puerto Rica and some parts of Central America. However, Salbia haemorrhoidalis, was introduced to the Philippines according to https://www.researchgate.net/publication/260309775_Biological_control_of_Lantana_camara_L_in_the_Philippines
Haha, that's what his hollow tail is about then - jet propulsion. And those goggle eyes he has (3rd photo): just like some kind of fighter pilot... :-)
Excellent shots. Holds its wings like a hang-glider. Maybe jet propelled.
