Large cluster of frilly fungus. Found already dislodged from it's original growing location.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Rockwood Park, Virginia.

Looks like a Giant Polypore (Meripilus giganteus). If it stains in a dark brown color on the underside when you scrape it, then this is your mushroom.
