Field Notes

Description:

Smaller than Eastern or Western Tiger Swallowtails. Upperside of forewing with relatively broad black stripes; underside with marginal yellow spots merged into continuous band. Hindwing with numerous orange scales.

Habitat:

Northern deciduous and evergreen-deciduous woods and forest edges
