Field Notes

Description:

A family of 3 otters enjoyed rolling around and scratching themselves, grooming each other and sleeping in the sun. They saw me as the 3rd photo shows, but were having too much fun to leave.

Habitat:

Along an inland fresh water canal in western Boca Raton, FL.

Notes:

It appeared to be two adults and one young otter. The adults did most of the napping while the youngster did most of the frolicking. They are so carefree and seem to have so much fun!
