Field Notes

Description:

The Double-ended Pipefish - Syngnathoides biaculeatus is mottled green; rear body tapers to tailless point.
Usually found in shallow areas among sea grass or attached to Sargassum algae.

Found this one washed ashore during low tide, put it back to the grassy area after taking pictures of it. It looks like it is carrying eggs on its belly.

They are also known as Alligator Pipefish.

Notes:

New Organism to Project Noah.
