Field Notes

Notes:

I knew the Red-shouldered Hawks were nesting somewhere in the area, and today my wife found the nest. It was well hidden up in a tree in the middle of the woods, and has 3 chicks.

The nest was about 10 feet from the top of a large oak tree.
Sweet! How high up is the nest?
