Description:

This long legged centipede is the most common of that group (Scutigeromorpha) in Australia. They have 15 pairs of long legs and 15 segments, sometimes marked with red patches on every second plate along the back. They are very fast runners.

Habitat:

Not in my house =)

Notes:

Found in wood.
Harmless.

Yes, they are usually way too fast. As with birds, it takes some patience and slow movements.
Thought it would be harmful considering the colour code. Great shots, wonder, how you pulled off capturing it without running and it being camouflaged into the environment.
Nice color pattern on this one
:-) Oh, they never run that far. Usually just a few inches to the nearest hiding place.
