Well, so, blow me down ... I just listened online to the catbird's "meow" calls. If I heard that in the woods, I might start looking around for the poor little kitty, too. And, while I was all-about-catbirds, I read about the origin of the phrase "sitting in the catbird seat" ... is it true they like to perch on the highest thing they can find? Thanks, fun posting! :-)
lol! Mocking birds are mimics too. Very noisy though.This catbird is on my list of "to spot" beside owls of course......
yes it does, and one time a catbird fooled me and it made me think it was a cat that i was hearing
does it sound like a cat? I would really like to hear one!
