Description:

These pair of beautiful swans were spotted in March 2011 at a local pond in Meols. They have been regular visitors to the pond for several years and have tried to raise a family with varied success, some offspring survived, others died.

Sadly this year a decision was made to relocate the swans by the owners of the pond to make way for anglers.

Wingspan 10ft, commonly known as mute swan

Habitat:

Found in Northern hemisphere. Migrant birds. Often seen in lakes, ponds and in local parks etc
