Description:

Quite an amazing moth!
The forewings are grey with brown lines and large prominent buff patch at the tips. The hindwings are light grey. The thorax hair is buff.

At rest this fairly large moth hides its legs and antennas, curls its wings and looks like a broken twig.

Habitat:

Spotted at night in the western France bocage.
This species is encountered all throughout Europe.
