Description:

Family: Papilionidae (swallowtails) From caterpillar to early chrysalis formation. Host plant: Spicebush (Lindera) Went from leaves to flower pot and attached by one strand of silk. Length: 1 inch (25 mm)

Habitat:

Found in meadow/woodlands border on Spicebush leaves and brought it home to observe changes.

Notes:

5th series in a set of 6 changes/spots. Photo #4 is 36 hours beforehand. Chrysalis formation at 12:16 p.m.
