Field Notes

Description:

Plant was 6 feet tall. Flower head about 1 foot in diameter (in one picture, I put it behind my back pack for contrast. "Feathery" seeds similar to milkweed, but smaller. Many seed pods at top. Leaves were in a cross shape and alternately placed on tall stalk.

Habitat:

Sunny. Wet soils on edge of wetland.
