Description:

Woody vine, can grow to 30 feet tall. Vine can grow to seven inches wide. The vine uses rootlets to hold on to tree trunks, fences, bushes or other vines. The leaves can have seven to eleven leaflets. Grows in woods or fields, mostly found at forest edge or by stream banks. The fruits are long three to six inch long pods, each containing numerous flat seeds, that are spread by the wind. The red, orange, or yellow flowers are a food source for Hummingbirds and Bumblebees. Blooms from June to September.
