Field Notes

Description:

Erect, woody stem with thin lance-shaped leaves, somewhat hairy. Small clusters of five-petaled, bright pink flowers with light speckling produced at the top of the plant. Petal edges are toothed.

Habitat:

Roadside.

Notes:

I almost missed this amongst the mess of wildflowers/weeds growing in this neglected roadside area. Introduced from Europe.
