Description:

Manatees can weigh anywhere between 800-1200 pounds! They are large sea animals often called sea cows because of how fat they can be. Manatees have three or four nails on each of their nails and they are grey and can spread to up to 10 feet long!

Habitat:

Manatees are slow-moving animals and move gently in the water. They can be found in slow-moving rivers and are seen in the water better during the winter in Florida.

- their closest relative is an elephant or a hyrax (a small gopher-sized mammal)
