Yes, just not as obvious in some of the images I've seen :-)
Frazier,this one does have the dark bands aka known as rings around the legs!!
Thank you , Marta and Frazier. Frazier,you are correct, I had found a earwig sometime ago, It was identified by Bug Eric as Ring Legged Earwig. we do have that species in my backyard. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/24422202
I'm just guessing here. The maritime earwig looks like it has longer antennae. The ring-legged isn't always "ringed" and it has shorter antennae. This looks like a male.
I don´t know at the species level but it looks like an earwig (have no idea where such a name comes from (?). In Spanish we call it "little scissors" (tijereta) because of the shape at the rear end. Hope the hint helps to find the species :-)
