Hi Jemma! The cluster is not similar to the one of the apple mint. This one has taller stem and the bloom is purple. The herb is found in Rodopi mountain (Eastern Europe) and I just can't find anything similar to that!
Boris,is the cluster similar to this? http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/32320017
It looks pretty much, but it is not mint. The leaves are thick and hard as leaves of ivy (hedera helix), but the shape really looks similar. The blossom appears in the summer as a cluster of small blue blossoms on the top of a long bare stem. It is important to find what herb is this, because it has a healing effect on some heavy diseases.
