Description:
Large Tachinid fly of about 1.5 cm in length with a gold colored head and shiny black abdomen. These flies are parasites as larvae on other insects.
Habitat:
Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.
