I looked into it, and it seems that Bavaria has tricked me again. Melinodes detersaria seems to be the much more likely ID.

I've seen this moth many times, but I've couldn't find an ID. As of yesterday I came across this ID. My only problem with this ID is that it is suggested by the Bavarian State Collection...which as a rule should never be trusted without another collection site seconding it.
