Field Notes

Description:

Purple flower. Short in growth. Has brown-reddish stem and is multiple leaved shaped in a tube.

Habitat:

Woodland.

Notes:

Children used to play with them "the war". They put together two flowers and then dragged them. The winner was the one whose head (flower) remained at the neck (stem). Game was described in 1937 by the Zagreb canon and Slovenian compatriot Janko Barle.
