Chough? Chova Piquirroja
Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax
41.2011, -3.5885
Field Notes
Description:
A small group of these flew by. Some appear to have pale patches below the outer wings and tail, I cannot see the shape of the bill but one maybe reddish. My best guess is Chough which we do get here on the grass runways which are kept short by the sheep.
Habitat:
Mountain airfield with scattered trees and bushes at around 3,700'. Sun-bleached arid ground with hardy thistles and other plants.
