Almost all wild deer in California are Mule Deer, this is one of subspecies which covers 75% of the state
Curious... What are the main ID characteristics of this spp. Compared to a white tailed deer? I'd honestly never heard of this species (but I've only been west if the Rockies once - when I was 10.... )
