Field Notes

Description:

Very small .45 to .75 inch long crustacean, black in overall color with a very spotted back.

Habitat:

Dense tidal mangrove swamp. These crabs attached themselves to every bald cypress in the swamp. When you walk by they don't hardly appear to be alive since they remain perfectly calm. .
