Field Notes

Description:

Caps were mostly fan-shaped, pale orange, very fuzzy, and had inrolled margins. The gills were close, orange, and had frequent short gills. It didn't have a stem, but did have a poorly defined base. Odor: very foul - like rotting garbage. Fruiting bodies were 3-5 cm wide.

Habitat:

Habitat: Growing on rotting wood in a mostly deciduous forest.
