Habitat:

Have not heard them for several years & that was in almond trees at Monda, Asturias,Spain.
This one was on my terrace in Coin,Asturias,Spain.(23rd Aug,2013)
So it looks like a noisy autumn??

Notes:

The 17 year Locust can spend most of it,s life underground before coming up to breed. Then makes the phenomenal noise that can reach up to 1.6 kilometres and can reach 100 decibels.
You can get up to a billion per square kilometre???
