Description:

This frog can actually freeze themselves solid and unthaw when the temperature warms up. It has a black mask on its face around the eyes and stretching to the back of its head. It can range in many earthy toned colors. Like tan, light brown, brown, goldish brown, dark brown, brownish black and somewhat rare completely black. It usaully is found with gold like stripes with some black spots. But this is for Alaska but I think they'll look pretty much similar. Just maybe different in color. They range from 2-4 inches 4 being rare. Unless you keep it as a pet and feed it lots of mealworms. But 3 inches is the normal adult size.

Habitat:

Usually found near lakes in swampy areas. But they also can be found around the woods. As long as there is a lake, pond, creek, or river near by. For them to rehydrate their skin. Cause it has to stay moist. Just as all frogs do.wood frogs range all they way up to the artic circle and further north of Canada and Alaska. And they live northern parts of the United States. Basically anywhere it gets really cold during winter.

Notes:

Make great little pet. They seem to love moths, mealworms, and spiders.
