Field Notes

Description:

sprouting up out of decaying rhododendron leaves. cap of both were about 3mm across. Two different species? maybe the second fruitbody is just more dried out than the first? M. stylobates has this distinctive disc at the base of the stipe

Notes:

gh1 - I have a sample of the first fruitbody but not of the second

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

Yes, I think two different species. The first is likely to be Mycena adescens, or Frosty Bonnet (http://www.naturespot.org.uk/species/frosty-bonnet). The second one is too difficult to ID from photo.
