Description:
Green treefrogs (of the US) are typically bright green, and sometimes have small yellow flecks or dots on their backs. They typically have a distinctive white stripe that runs from the upper lip down the side.
Habitat:
These frogs are pretty common, and typically found in humid areas that can be anywhere from bottomland hardwood forest to your backyard. This one was found at Three Rivers WMA in the bottomland hardwood forest.
Notes:
These frogs can be found anywhere in vegetation, tucked inside flowers, hanging onto the topside (or bottomside) of leaves, or grasping vines and branches. Look for nooks and crannies in bark and you can find them there as well.
We found this one while collecting data for my masters work this summer.
