Hi k.andrews6, No worries about the confusion! It's really up to you whether or not to take down the ID suggestion. Leaving it up does provide a valuable source of information as it discusses two different, yet similar species.
Should I remove the recommendation or leave it for the sake of having a complete record of the discussion? I'm unsure of the protocol here.

Danaus plexippus, though similar, is a lighter and brighter orange when compared to Danaus gilippus. Considering that factor and some differences of the ventral pattern, I think this is Danaus gilippus. Here is a reference link: Species Danaus gilippus - Queen - Hodges#4615
