Field Notes

Description:

Goslings are so cute! Canada geese often mate for life or at least several years. This goose seems to have lost her partner, however. She is sometimes kept company as she raises her four goslings by another pair of geese but her most steadfast companion is a hybrid duck (see spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/362986224)

Habitat:

Hank Anderson Park

Notes:

I've been watching the family for some days. The last two photos were taken on 28 May.
