Pale lemon yellow flowers, needle-like leaves, medium sized bush.

Habitat:

Open bushland.

Notes:

Hardy, bird protection.

I'd claim some special depth of botanical knowledge, but this particular shrub grows all around our house. It's normally pretty straggly looking. The other thing that distinguishes it from its close relatives is the length of the flower stems - similar species have little in the way of visible stems. And yes, World Wide Wattle is very cool site

Looks like the "Spreading wattle": http://www.worldwidewattle.com/speciesgallery/genistifolia.php But there are several similar species and they are hard to distinguish from just a photo.
