Field Notes

Description:

The adult female is brown with paler flanks. It also has the tuft in the back of her head.

Habitat:

Their breeding habitat is close to marshes and lakes with plenty of vegetation to conceal the nest. They are also found on coastal lagoons, the seashore, and sheltered ponds.

This was seen in the same park as the siberian chipmunk, close to Brussels.
