Description:

I found this butterfly when it was in chrysalis form, and kept it for a few days until it became an adult. I even got to hold when I released it (1st picture)! All three of these pictures were taken after release.

Thanks! It is really cool to get to hold one. If you've ever tried to get close to one, you'd know how hard it is to even get a foot or two away. I raised this one from a chrysalis, so even though it had already pumped its wings, it wasn't sure if it wanted to fly or not. After some pictures I left to go eat and reproduce. :)
Thank you! The second picture here is a chrysalis: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/37376005. Both this spotting and the one in the picture were individuals that I had raised, but this one I found as a chrysalis, and the one in the link as a caterpillar.
