Field Notes

Description:

Northern flying squirrel babies

Habitat:

Oak hickory forest and our shed.

Notes:

Female has 2 litters every summer in our shed. They (unfortunately) overwinter inside our home, in the ceiling and fireplace columns. I haven't noticed any physical damage (wires, etc) yet, so... it's alright.

Hi Pi, I've just set a link with Wikipedia and add the scientific name to your spotting. Could you please locate it? It appears in the middle of the ocean.
