Hi dazynay, this is a Sphinx Moth in the family Sphingidae. The scales which make the patterns on this moth seem to have become worn off. Please don't handle moths by their wings or their abdomens, as they are very delicate insects, and their natural camouflage can be endangered when their scales fall off. The "dust" on your fingers is actually the scales on from the moth.
