Spotted in the Crystal Coast maritime forest/ swamp area. We think it is an Eastern Rat Snake.

Eastern glass lizard

Thanks for your suggestions--do either of those animals (eastern glass lizard or slow-worm) have tongues like a snake (forked and flickering out)? We saw the animal doing that while we were watching. Thanks!
