Description:

I found the butterfly on the pavement. She/He couldn't fly, I don't know the reason, maybe is because her/his wing is broken. Can anyone tell me why, please ?

No worries, dear @Sonia Daponte, that's a mistake I do all the time...I was wondering if there is another damage, except from the right underwing...If that's the only broken part, the butterfly can still fly, so it's probably something else that actually landed it on the pavement... Take care, the species ID follows shortly :)
Thanks a lot for your suggestion comment Despina, I'm going to read that link right now :) And sorry for my spelling mistake *an Iphiclides...*
There is also an amazing video, basically you can do the same with any butterfly species, not just with monarchs (but you need to find a new pair of wings, and it would be very difficult with the Southern Swallowtail...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah0SBALIc0o
Most likely an Iphiclides feisthamelii http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iphiclides_feisthamelii Anyway, they don't live much, 8 to 14 days top, due to predators, mostly...You can try to feed it, so read carefylly the following link, in case you can do smthng for this beautiful insect... http://butterflyrescue.com/feedingbutterflies.htm
