Yeah it is edible. But I am not a great fan of this when cooked , but its tender fruits are nice to it. But you should consult someone there, before you try it. [If u are planning to] Because, we can never be sure, it could be an inedible variant. Since you have never heard that it was edible. Just to be safe.
Nice spotting cee. I think this is the fruit of the plant we call in malayalam 'Kovakkai' or, Ivy gourd in english. It is a very common vegetable here in
kerala.
