Description:

Solidly Built Short Haired dog. Ancestors come from Ireland and England. The Pit bull (American Pit bull Terrier) is part of the molosser breed family. APBTs are were used for bull and bear baiting while hunting. After these tasks were named inhumane, they were more commonly used for rat baiting and illegal dog fighting. The name pit originated from rat and dog fights were the dogs were often placed in pits. This dog is short haired and has very toned muscles when fed properly. They are feared and illegal in some areas of the United States due to there vicious past. They are not innately vicious, only when bred to be vicious.
