About an inch long, brown and shiny. Makes a funnel web at the base of trees that goes into the ground.

Yes, this is a purseweb spider. The webbing and the massive jaws are indicative of Family Atypidae. Nice spotting! Oh, and this can be moved to the Arthropods category, please.
