Description:

Chalk-fronted Corporal is about 1.5 inches, thorax and front end of abdomen are grayish, wings have dark basal patches. Perches horizontally.

Habitat:

Spotted near Pine Lake. They live near wetlands, lakes & rivers and eat mosquitos, moths, butterflies, insects.

Notes:

The Chalk-fronted Corporal is a common Skimmer. They get their name from the white, chalk-colored stripes on the top of the thorax that look like Corporal stripes.
