Field Notes

Description:

I rescued this buckeye butterfly caterpillar from drowning in a rain puddle, and the next day, I found in the J-shape! Shortly after this, it molts into a chrysalis. It was in a blue bucket (that was the background). It has since become a butterfly and was released.

Habitat:

Found in my neighborhood in a rain puddle. It was in my care through the chrysalis and released as a butterfly. Basically, urban habitat.

Notes:

These butterflies are everywhere right now!
