Amata Wasp Moth

I have been looking for a while and come up empty. What do you think about exchanging out amata images and see what we have in common? My email is: [email protected] Dave

I could not say for certain, but I think the size is largely dependent on how well they fed as larva. I know this is true for the solitary wasps. The amata that I spotted was not noticeably BIG, but the markings on the body and wings look identical to yours.

I have several images of this amata sp. but have never found any images on the web, other than yours. Hardly surprising as we are based in the same city. I suspect that this is a local sub species. I guess we will never know. Dave
