Field Notes
Description:
Difficult to describe! Minute in size, easy to overlook. Approximately 1/8 to 3/8". Graywhite in color. Body is segmented. Growths extend from segments. Organism is caterpillar/wormlike.
Habitat:
Backyard garden on the Coneflower.
Notes:
This is a very difficult spotting to describe as this organism is barely big enough to see. There are two of these graywhite and one dark brown beings in the garden. The brown organism is on the Black-Eyed Susan. When I first saw it, I thought it was shed, dead petals from the butterfly bush....until it moved!
