Thanks for the info! I wasn't really sure if it was a salamander or skink so I kind of just guessed.
Ben, Nice spotting! I don't think this is a salamander though. It is probably a blue-tailed skink (Cryptoblepharus egeriae), which is a lizard. I've been looking for these for ages and have yet to find one! (Although they are common in some places.) See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plestiodon_fasciatus for more information.
